WCG President and CEO Hyoung-Seok Kim has commented on the controversy regarding some of the national qualifiers.
For the past few years there have been a number of cases of controversial WCG qualifiers all over the world, with some national license holders keeping the money for their own personal benefit rather than using it to send players to the World Finals.
This year, the most usurious case happened in Venezuela, where the qualifier was called off half way through, leaving everyone empty-handed while the organiser collected not only the money from the players, but from the WCG too.
Based on that case and comments on our webpage, we decided to address WCG President and CEO, Hyoung-Seok Kim, about this matter and ask him if something was being done to prevent further incidents in the future.
Below you can find a video with his response, which was given at the official WCG press conference this afternoon.
